Framing the Problem:
Plastic waste is a significant environmental issue, with millions of tons of plastic ending up in landfills and oceans every year. The fashion industry is a notable contributor to this problem, generating a substantial amount of waste through production and disposal processes. Sunglasses, often made from non-biodegradable materials, add to this environmental burden. Addressing this issue requires innovative solutions that not only reduce waste but also promote sustainable practices within the fashion industry.
Project Overview:
VIZN is a speculative project that envisions a system capable of recycling materials to create custom sunglasses tailored to individual users through facial scans and AI technology. By leveraging advanced recycling methods and AI-driven customization, VIZN aims to reduce plastic waste and set a new standard for sustainable fashion accessories.
Our interdisciplinary team focused on designing a seamless user experience from material recycling to product customization. The project involved creating a detailed interface, developing a strong brand identity, and producing animated advertisements using After Effects to showcase the concept.
Outcome:
The VIZN project resulted in several key deliverables:
Animated Advertisements: Created using After Effects, these advertisements highlight the innovative recycling process and the custom sunglasses' unique selling points.
Interface Design: We developed a user-friendly interface that guides users through the facial scanning and customization process, ensuring a personalized experience.
Branding: Comprehensive branding materials, including logos and visual identity elements, were created to establish a strong, recognizable brand for VIZN.
These deliverables collectively demonstrate the potential of VIZN to revolutionize the sunglasses market by integrating sustainability and customization through cutting-edge technology.
